The award is in the category "market integration of renewable energy sources and storage systems"

The Association for Production, Storage and Trading of Electricity (APSTE) honoured EWRC Chairman Plamen Mladenovski in the category "market integration of renewable energy sources and storage systems". The award was presented at a solemn ceremony for the association's annual awards. They honour individuals, institutions and media with exceptional contributions to the development of renewable energy in Bulgaria in 2025.  

„I accept the award as recognition for the contribution of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission team. With their expertise, they contribute to the development and improvement of the regulatory framework supporting the integration of renewable energy into our country's energy system. We still have a lot of work to do, we have clear direction and goals," emphasized EWRC Chairman.

The former Chairman of the EWRC, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Ivanov, PhD received an award for overall professional contribution to the regulatory activities. In his speech, he expressed confidence that the regulator would continue to be guided by the standards of professionalism, integrity and principle.
